Just Why

My Nan past away with Cancer on the 13/02/12. She did so well bless her, It's good to she her out of agony, but all I'm going to ask, is Why her? What did she do so wrong to deserve this? I just duno.

You've been gone for sometime now

It only seems like yesterday we was laughing and joking, 

There isn't a day I don't think about you, 

Asking for help, just talking, or smiling for you. 

Why did they have to take you?

It was too soon for you leave

I hope your happy there though

I'm hoping to believe. 

You was the only person I could turn to, 

In situations I can't tell anyone else, 

You always knew what to do, 

Whether it was right or wrong

It was always for the best. 

I miss you so much, 

It makes me cry. 

But I'm strong, 

I'll be alright. 

I've got my mind on making you proud

I just need to sort my head out. 

I can't handle this stress anymore nan, 

It's making me upset, just to think about. 

Everyone's just arguing, 

People are all complaining

I try and act like I don't care, 

But it's breaking my heart. 

I wish you was here, 

You'd sort it all out

Make everyone smile again

And not be drowning there sorrow's out. 

See I can only tell my best friend these things

But your not here anymore 

What am I gonna do?

Pfft, Nanny I miss you.

What an emotional poem. A great write in Memory of your Nan. I'm sure she's very proud of you. I can rellate to this very well, as I've been through losing loved ones of my own. And what they went through towards the end of their time doesn't seem right to me either. I wish you all the best. Keep writing amazing pieces and never lose faith.

Your pain is so raw and intense..the loss of someone we love is the worst.. Our confidant our friend in the time of need, in joy and in sorrow they were always there.. I look back at the losses I've endured in my family and it's like they are the stones.. creating my foundation.. so I can be to someone in my family ..what they were to me..xo
