Its Double-Meaning

Its Double-Meaning

A Poem by Keyshla

The feeling of love overrode hatred.
I couldn't contain the passion inside.
So I let it go, and I screamed and I yelled.
Not caring who heard or who judged my outburst.
And the outcome of life rushed from inside to out.
And I lost all of the control that was holding us.
I broke, but you carefully put me back together;
With innocent fingers and a turn of events.
Screams over screams and pain beat out pain.
But I let it get past me, and forgot the whole game.
You make me feel whole, like nothing compares
and I sit back and listen to the way our hearts beat.
Sweating; and heavily breathing
it takes us a moment to get back to reality.
But it takes only a second,
for me to refuel, regain, and then relive.
But all at once, I feel the feelings,
as they pour out into the gestures of love.
All the components and chemicals we use
start to combine into a true physical mixture
of love and lust and everything in between.
As my breathing grows faster and my voice grows louder.
I begin to understand the power of...
The power you have over me as I have over you.
And as we can't stand our fighting, our arguing, or our yelling.
You decide to let OUR lust, override OUR hate.
