The Allure of the SeaA Poem by Leigh
Everyday I go into the sea I can’t help it, it's calling me Winking its eye with glistening light I find I’m racing for the shore every night
Under moonstruck waves and frothy foam All at once I am so alone No one in the world can get near me When I am swimming in the beautiful sea
For hours and hours I will stay in there like a frolicking whale without a care It cools my body from head to toe Cleaning and healing, to and fro
On the horizon is the death of a star Crimson and Orange, just a long Purple scar And sadly now with my feet on dry land I feel again a compulsion I cannot understand
