Untold

Untold

A Poem by Leonard Birch

Untold

For years she felt lonely,
abandoned and cold.
Her story is long,
her story untold.

She dreamt of a family,
 a comfortable life.
To be a good Mother,
to be a dear wife.

She often had visions,
though fewer in years.
A man would approach her,
then, disappear.

Somehow she managed,
to fight back the pain.
She needed normality,
to keep her sane.

Then she found solace,
while working in care.
Her passion intense,
commitment, clear.

I know she found marriage,
in helping the frail.
A wonderful woman,
with a wonderful tale.

It is indeed. You are so right...Welcome...:)
Different.
I like it, though. I might have added a little more detail, a little bit more backstory to this woman's tale, but besides that the poem is splendid. Your rhyming skills are amazing!
Good write and great read. Keep up the good work!
