Weltschmerz

Weltschmerz

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

waiting

"
The train arrives late.
It is full of animals.
A late moonday. Not much Sun.

We stand as actors.
There are big voices above us.
Faces fall at our feet.
Many skies crash together.

It is a terrible affliction to be scared
of something you love.

Yet another breath-taking piece. It feels like the protagonist is afraid of life itself. How helpless we are.

Yes, the starkness of this piece and the images used do bring about
a sense of menace and of something not quite right.
I can see the reason for fear.

Truly a horrible feeling but a great poem!
