DON`T JOIN THE ARMY!

DON`T JOIN THE ARMY!

A Poem by Leslie Philibert

Don´t want to go to a strange land and have my ding dong shot off by a nutter with
a towel wrapped round his head who sits in the back of a Toyota pickup ; don`t want to
look like a billard ball who runs about and sings nowmybrainisdownthedrain;hate to
listen to national anthems that sound as if they are composed by Arnold Schoneberg
and played by Miles Davis on speed, don`t want to be told what to think, don`t need
bits of metal on my chest for killing people or a snob name like Captain Bombthemall-Beastly.

So a word to all generals and politicians :

Stuff your flag up the Khyber Pass, stop playing God and go home and read Robert Browning in the garden - you`ll feel better too....

Cool weaving of humor into a great theme and message, peace sounds good to me. A very excellent write. Enjoyable.

I want to both laugh and cry at this, and, I couldn't agree more----

"Don´t want to go to a strange land and have my ding dong shot off by a nutter with
a towel wrapped round his head..." this totally had me laughing. I must admit it's though...it's like i really wanted more of this but despite the length you've put weight to it and embossed some really strong points to the nutter generals and politicians...great Leslie
