Maths in the Park ( for Marzena)

Maths in the Park ( for Marzena)

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

I hpe this all adds up....

"
Park divided by ducks is standard
Dogs plus leads is dictatorship
Sun minus light is evening
Eyes multiplied by hair is laughter

Love minus pity is selfless
Affection multiplied by love is adoration
Hate minus passion is military
Devotion divided by thought is religion
The world divided by humanity is paradise.

it all adds up to me. this is my type of poem, you carry the metaphor all the way through in a very smart way...

i especially love the line. "Eyes multiplied by hair is laughter"

that is priceless...

love this poem...

"hate minus passion is military" so true...regimented hate, no feeling, just killing because we have to...a soldier's creed.

like watching a sage do maths.... very original, true and powerful ideas.. I wonder what it would look like if you added calculus in there! that last line is stunning, finishing with a serious punchline.

Dear Leslie, I'm not goed at Math at all...but your math hier made my day.
How creative and still very acurate (like math) ...
You must be a profound thinker to come with those thoughts.
Love it.

Clever, amusing and, in some cases, profound!

This is excellent. You've added axioms to the sum of truth.
