Midnight

Midnight

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

written at night

"
a bent silence
            unattended the changes
            subtle through the hours

a white-horse star astray
            blocks of darkness
            that fall badly

a town at sea beyond a
            halo over roofs
            the night sky, holed cloth

ghosts that shuffle as a motor
            bees down a river-road
            full of coal,the air empty.

Eerie and evocative imagery here. As always your style is so unusual and unique, I particularly like the images of the town at sea and the river road.

Very eerie yet there is always beauty in the night. Outstanding imagery in this, very spellbinding.

I tried to related my few midnight experiences with your poems. Our feelings look to be crossing each other in many places. Thank you for sharing the poem.
