Finnish
A Poem by
Leslie Philibert
this is a strange poem, I know, that nobody will read. I wanted to write something a bit
unusual.
If this poem were in
Finnish, the pronouns
would have no gender ;
so
I love it,
its hair falls
its eyes are
opaque as dust
in a glass.

Very interesting. Love the unique and creative quality about this one. I do wonder where your brain formulated an intriguing idea such as this...or maybe I don't want to know :p Very well penned.

Surprising, and there something refreshing about the lack of gender in the writing.

it was fresh and new and thought provoking, i was glad for the travel through here
Beautiful. This is an amazing poem. Taking the gender out changes everything, doesn't it? It is always a pleasure to read your outstanding poetry.

Thanks for the review, and indeed gender shifts the perspective..
I am taking 'it' to mean 'her' if I read this correctly Leslie? Trying new things is always worthwhile.
No matter you always write in a flowing, fluid form that leave one in wonder.

I wanted to confuse, is it her, is it him ?.... this is about love, gender and grammar !

Sounds like a challenge to put to fellow writers?
Learning another language and the quirks of the way it works is fascinating and eye opening.
I enjoyed reading this a lot.

I`m not important. I just want to write a couple
of good poems. Just read what I write. That`s
enough.
