Boogie Man

Boogie Man

A Poem by Secret Lullaby

Every night I cry about the Boogie Man,

And every night my mom would hold my hand.

But the Boogie man wasen't in my closet or under my bed.

It was that teenage boy in the room above my head.

My mom thought I got that bruise from when I would play.

But in truth it was from him when he played the game "Rape."

Oh how I wanted to tell her the truth,

But afrade becuse he said he waould knock out more then my tooth.

Maybe there will come a day when the fright would go away.

Untill then, the Boogie Man is here to stay

Great poem. That didn't really happen to you, i hope? It's an unusual and emotional twist on the boogie man, and very well penned. Thank you.

I love this and I love how you compare the brother/ teenage boy to the "Boogie Man". Again good job! :)
