The Chain

The Chain

A Poem by Lexi Askew

They accept the jobs they are given
And the bountiful never question
Their place in this chain of chains
That reaches to Jupiter
Neptune
Pluto
The chain of chains
That reaches to the gods themselves
And who will find themselves on top
But the ones that created it all
