The Snow

The Snow

A Poem by Lexi =]
"

Well today it is snowing a whole bunch its rare in houston. So i wrote this during ELA as i looked out the classroom window

"

Its snowing!

Houston’s simply glowing
It's always just hot
But today its not

It never really snows here
It's usually clear
Everyone admire’s the snow
Its falling down, to us kids it’s a show

We can’t wait to throw snowballs
As it falls
As we look out the class window, the snow is pure white
Then it melts, Its such a pretty site

This may seem like I am making a big deal
But you don’t know how we in Houston feel
The snow..
Please don’t go!

I love the snow tremendously. Something about the pureness, innocence it possess. Maybe even the refreshing newness of it? Enjoyable read. Put a smile on my face. Thanks for that. Excellent!

It's always cold where I Iive, but we don't often get snow either.
This poem would sum up most peoples' feelings about snow.
Well done!

This is a wonderful poem in celebration of snowing. Here where I live we all get excited when it snows. Snow is very beautiful. I love your poem and think its very well written, very nice rhyming. Over all, I think its just a very very wonderful poem. Love it.

Here in Michigan. We say here it come again. A field without foot prints is a beautiful site. Snow can be beautiful and fun if you are young. A excellent poem.

"Everyone admire's the snow" In this line you don't need the apostrophe before the s, as it's not possessive.
"Its falling down" In this line you do need one.
"Its such a pretty site" Apostrophe needed again. And don't capitalize it, it's not a new sentence or line. Oh, and I suspect you meant "sight" which is means something you see and is the more usual expression, a "site" means a place.
"how us in Houston feel" Should be "how we in Houston feel", or better still (if you're not using a regular line length and meter) "But you don't know how people in Houston feel"

It's otherwise good, but you should try using a few less exclamation marks. They're a bit numbing after the first one.

I know how you feel. I live in Tennessee and it never snows like ever.
