Once and For All

Once and For All

A Poem by Alexa Tarvid

Flip the switch,

Sound the alarm

Because Hell will rain down on this place,

Your wretched poison,

Your constant disguises,

You are a spy for all that brings pain,

Take this

Take it to your grave,

My words should follow you

Haunt you like a spirit you started destroying so long ago,

You will not forget these words,

My final words,

You pulled me down

Sat me in that exact chair,

You called me a liar,

Told me I was so fake

How you hated how I pretended to be someone else,

Trying to be better than I really am,

Then!

Then,

You spoke of how I am competing against you

How it's all just a game to me,

I'm petty,

Foolish,

You better get ready,

Put on your gear,

Do you have armor?

Because you'll need it,

No mercy,

No more forgive and forgets,

You played me,

Played me like a fool,

You always have

Always will,

You acted like you knew me,

Started a conversation about this "me,"

I'm so foolish,

So naive

To think,

To actually think that you loved me,

And all those people caught in the crossfire

Of my wretched tango of your sick demands,

You don't care,

At least not anymore,

With guns ablaze

And bombs in the trains,

You better be ready for an attack like no other,

One that will not only shock you

But knock you off your feet,

You want to know what it is?

How I will end this battle to win the war?

Well okay,

If you really want to know

I guess I can tell you,

Dear Beloved Mother,

I'm walking away once and for all.

*sigh* This poem is one of those, how I'm feeling now, type things. It wasn't written to be read nor with any promises of a masterpiece. It was just something that I needed to write.

I'm starting to understand now where you get the depth to write like this. You have a remarkable talent for sharing emotion. Not just a talent on second thought... a gift.

Wow...
The last lines shocked me off... I mean it's the last person I thought you were talking about...
I believe you have strong reasons to say that...
Anyway, worderful poem...
I can feel the anger on it, this is a very powerful writing, so full of raw emotion...
Wonderful write!
