Applications for the Taking

This poems speaks of someone who has found an alternative for finding her true love.

That's it!

I'm done,

Done with all the searching,

The "do"s,

the "don't"s,

The wannabe prince charmings,

 

Very blunt and to the point

Is this very application,

Check the box

Fill in the black,

And many multiple answer questions,

 

Maybe a few essays,

A couple of graphs,

And a request for some family history

They all will help me make my decision,

 

But I'm not looking for royalty or a rockstar,

Not one of noble blood and money,

But one of noble heart,

 

And if you still think I'm worth it at the end,

I'll take your application,

And take it into consideration,

To see if you're in the running

To become my true Prince Charming,

 

If you make the cut

Then we'll see how it goes,

If you are my modern day Prince Charming,

Than I can only hope

That my foolish heart will let me know.
