Cold

Cold

A Poem by Pebbles

Can you feel the coldness
which freezes moments
Which holds me closer
Than I am comfortable
Moments that seem to
Penetrate and Permeate my soul
You thought you could leave
Unwilling to move the tide
Ride the wave
Or wait for the clouds to clear
I left still waiting
Willing for you to return
Like a ghost in the harbour
Your presence sings sweetly
Of yesterdays pain

You have reminded me of many frozen moments in my own life, Pebbles, icicles falling from roofs to impale me where I stood. Powerful images here, and well done.
