Lessons

Lessons

A Poem by Pebbles

Stop your wollowing
People come
and go
'I will tell you a story my son come sit a while'
An old wise sage once said to me
'life is nothing but a lesson'
But sir i said
'I am lonely and need a friend to keep me company
A lover to hold me tight
A wife to call my own'

He looked deeper into me
than any man had ever dared

He kind of threw me with his words
'Then go and learn to be alone'
'alone what kind of lesson is this i'm given?'
'Until you are happy in your own skin
Until you learn to let your life balance you upon it's tides
what is it you think you have to get from the sharing
of your life force'

'But'
'There are no buts young man
go sit a while and connect with all that we have created'

I became angry not understanding and unable to control
'go away and learn that you are special
believe that the world wraps its arms around your soul
because we are part of each other and everything is connected'

With tears in my eyes I left
knowing this was my last hope
He shouted behind me
and son , be grateful, because you have so much
realise what treasure lies within you
open yourself to what
lies upon the shores of your desire'
Many years have past
I look sometimes back
on my old life
of misery and toil
As i walk down to the sea
my love runs towards me
the wind in her hair
I learnt to be alone

and life gave me all that i desired

This is a remarkable message of wisdom... of what we need to live and live well. What powerful images you've given, and guidance so needed in these days when men and women often wander restless... A beautiful, lifting write.

A beautiful story. The miracle is ,
the sage talks to "son" and the writer
runa to meet "his" wife on the beach with
the wind and the rain in her hair"
What goes ? Is this some kind of trans-gender
thing ?
