Cryptic Depths

Our True Feelings, silent though real

Spoken in cryptic terms
dancing around the point
Carefully, so carefully

Don’t trip!  Don’t stumble,
Lest your hearts spills everything into the open
for you to see


Vulnerable specks,
pieces of our soul, become visible,
as with our words we slowly paint a picture

revealing the naked truth
for all to see


Music playing in our hearts, songs our voices can’t express
though our thoughts were the same, a blinding flash of white light it would take,
to seal our thoughts into immortality

When we spoke our thoughts
as one

I look away
I reach for you
You pretend to be

When you draw into silence, you take me too
Hollowness in my heart

Drowning in thought,
into the deep

Sounds of life are swirling above us

Insecurities matched with time
