The Storm Outside

I wrote this poem when I was really upset and just listening to the rain, it really helps sometimes!!

The sound of the storm out side lulls me to sleep

The vibration of the thunder calms me when I weep 

I watch the water slide down the window pane 

Making its slow and steady way to the gutter leading to the sewers drain 

I think about what I've gone through in life just about what life's thrown my way 

And I know I have to take it day by day 

The sound of the storm outside puts my fears to rest 

It calms the torrent of emotion circling around in my chest 

The light the bolts of lightning give pushes the darkness away 

It keeps my fears away 

The storm is my brother 

And I am his sister

we coincide one another 

And we heal each other 

The sound of my brother the storm outside lulls me to sleep 

His thunderous vibrations calm me when I weep 

I watch him kiss the window pane 

Wishing me sweet dreams in his brotherly way 

He helps me to think 

He helps me to be calm 

The storm is my brother from now and on

Amazing. You have great ideas and perfect wording for them. My only advice is try to make the lines that rhyme the same length. But it's great as it is
