The Ocean

The Ocean

A Poem by Blue Belle

The cold

damp

sandy shore.

The icy

water

numbing your feet.

The Earth

beneath

crumbling.

The

whoosh

of the waves.

It

is calling

out to you.

“Come in closer.

You need me.”

Craving tears,

you invite

the ocean

in.

When I read this poem I felt as if standing alone on an ocean shore. Looking horizon deep. You have poured emotions so powerful in this poem. Good one

beautiful...it's been so long since the ocean sand was felt between my toes. I live 3 hours away from the ocean...I read it and it felt like I could feel it.
