The Hospital
~
When you are there
I exist
But only in a state,
Of constant unreality.

I see everything around me
But am unaware of it's presence.

After placing my goodnight kiss
Upon your sweet lips,
I turn to go and realize,
The wall above your bed is blue
How funny, I hadn't noticed before.

Thirty paces to the elevator,
Must have been uneventful,
Not quite sure how I got there.
It's not until the door closes that I even notice.

Now., Which floor do I want... Basement?
No, ground!
This should be routine because,
After all, that's what this is, routine.

But my mind, it's in such a fog.
Maybe it's the weather.
