I discovered my writing talent in 2002 when I decided to write poetry for my ailing fiancé. He passed in 2003 and writing was a huge help to me in expressing my grief and general feelings during that time. I have found that I write more easily when I’m not in a happy place. It’s a good way for me to vent. Sometimes I’ll write something random about someone or something I see. Sometimes I’m hellbent on writing the perfect piece about a particular subject. I’m constantly composing in my head.
