Insignificant

Insignificant

Purging the end of a toxic relationship.

Insignificant
~

Crushed
Like ice
As if twenty tons
Have been thrown
On my soul

You spoke those words
Emitting
Through your vocal cords
Venom
A snake you were

Looking, not gazing
Deep into my eyes
Into my core
So delicately
You devised your plan

To kill
Everything inside me
Skillfully
You wove your web
Planted your trap

And with your love decoy
Brainwashed my logic
My trust
It was open to you
Your weapon

You deceived
I believed
Your arms
So warm
And now

The warmth of my blood
No longer exists
For crushed ice
Has replaced it
As it spills from my soul

And my life swings
Carelessly
A pendulum...
Back and forth
Higher and higher

With no destination
My senses are numb
I scream
Louder and louder
No one hears me

Look at me
Look at the nothingness
You have given to me
My well hath run dry
As I lay

Paralyzed by the parasite
Of love
Until nothing remains
But my backbone
I've been eternally forsaken

A true talent. Beautiful flow of words and completely relatable. My favourite line: paralized by the parasite of love. Great work
