Dismissive

Dismissive

A Poem by Elizabeth C
"

Short and straight to the point

"
You missed my emotional distress
you missed my shaking body
you missed the words that hurt
you missed my aching voice
you missed my sleepless days
you missed my accomplishments in life.
you failed to see me cry
you failed to see my growth
you failed to even hold me dearly
And say everything will be alright.
Most importantly you fail to see that
everyone has flaws,
and that they don't need to always change
who they are,
but change the way they act towards other people.

Thank you for sharing your poetry Elizabeth! As you say short and to the point - sometimes that is the best way to express oneself!

Hello, Elizabeth! :)
Thanks for sharing your poetry. This one has teeth and feeling. I’m curious how the subject would respond, maybe the title answers that.
