The Lonely Hour

The Lonely Hour

A Poem by H

I hate this feeling in my bones

Like all my words are empty

I'll never make it if I keep on

Going down this lonely road

Goodbye to solitude and reason

The angels reaching out for me

The water rushing under me

The fall wouldn't be so long

If I took a running start

Misty clouds hide secrets

Too dark and deep for my weary mind

Staring out a closed window

The clock chimes one and all is done

I waited for you

Endured the endless ticking just for you

I fall from the hilltops again and again

Is it impossible to deceive deceit?

Murky eyes tell tales of past

Where hope was free and love exsisted

The windchimes sound like chariot bells

What good is a key to a broken heart?

To the end of the earth I walk

And when will I come back again?

When straight becomes curved I know to hide

From castles and airplanes emerging in the dark

Why is it better to loved and have lost

Than to never have loved?

Either way is cruel

The tide pulls me closer

to be farther from you

The pen and the paper

Draw out stories that cannot be spoken

On a crushed wreath of roses

Tears fall from the sky

i agree with bluessadmood .. the imagery walks me beside and i contemplate your moves and how i might chose ..

"When straight becomes curved I know to hide

Than to never have loved?
Either way is cruel"

your observations and questions are brilliant woven within your expressions of pain and self .. i love just how much you are in touch with yourself if even without actual answers yet .. all of the elements of truth are here and there

this was ever so lovely..you are very talented my friend..truth be said
all your words and images come right to me so sweet and easy..they fill my mind and satisfy
this feelings like all empty words..i will never make it on this lonely road
at last goodbye solitude, the angels calling me..water rush under me
everything dark and weird for my weary mind..out of my closed window
hour strikes one and all is done..god how i waited endless for you
just loved the past where hope and love was free
i walk to the end but will i come back
when everything becomes curved
i know i have to hide
and never wait
you really amaze me all the time..oh you words,so strange, and those feelings..
how i loved this writing like all your writings..truly amazing..
