Give us a Leader, not a Commander

Give us a Leader, not a Commander

A Poem by Joseph Eluzai
"

Thoughts on leadership............

"

We long for chivalry, not rivalry
In a country of revelry
Of what use are commanders
When there are leaders?
Direction
Not destruction;
A new avenue
Not a retinue
People at the centre
Not ego as the epicenter
Where future matters
And impunity is in tatters
Where desire to build in the field
Overrides obsession for a shield
God, give us a leader
Not a commander
To tease
Please!

Wow. I have felt that way always and I do agree. There is a big difference between a true leader who sets the vision for a country and a mere administrator or commander. An excellent political write...:)..........................
