Tell me a story

Tell me a story

A Poem by lonely zephyr
"

A woman and her companion (a terrifying beast) share a story.

"
"Tell me a story, my beloved human"
"There once, was a lost soul, drifting on the wind."

"Why was it lost?"
"She could not find her way among the treachery of life."
"She took her life?"

"No, dear beast. She continued on living, against fate's will."
"Why did she fight on?"
"That, she did not know."
"She stayed miserable for eternity?"
"After many eons, misery ended for her."

"How did she end it?"
"She did not end her own misery."
"Then, what did?"
"Not 'what', dear beast. But 'who'"

"Someone ended her misery?"
"Someone filled her missing piece. Her void was filled.
"How did it feel to have it filled?"

"Words cannot explain it. Her cold soul was wrapped in black, soft fur."

"Black fur - similar to mine?"
"Just like yours."
"Then, it must have been a beast"
"It was a beast. An ominous monster."
"She wasn't afraid?"
"She had nothing to fear. As the beast was not a monster to her."
"What was it to her?"
"A friend."

"Friend... How does it feel to have a friend?"
"You tell me, dear friend."
