The SUN and the MOON

The SUN and the MOON

A Poem by Lonesome Traveler

The sun, so beautiful high in the sky

You give happiness and even small smiles

You provide hope for a better tomorrow

Depleting the night and removing the sorrow

The moon, so mystical and majestic

You hide your happiness for you are meek

But you give light for others to see their dark way

But only rises at night and sleep through the day

The sun and the moon, they can't be together

The moon goes in, the sun moves farther

And even at times the moon shy away

When that happens, I can't exactly say

It's true that the moon is lighted by the sun

The moon shy away but is still given fun

Sadly, the people needs the sun more

And makes the moon useless, down to it's core

When will they be together, the sun and the moon

That will bring out fun and remove the gloom?

They can not be together, my friend

The moon will just chase the sun and there's no end.
