[Both Ends of the World] PART 2: The Sad Turn

[Both Ends of the World] PART 2: The Sad Turn

A Poem by Lonesome Traveler
"

Part two of the whole series called "Both ends of the world"

"
I saw the beautiful princess while working
Here in the farm fields, and time I'm killing
So beautiful she was high in her tower
Every time I see her, happiness I remember

The past came to thought, the time I saw
Her smile, and her eyes has left me in awe
Sadly I can't speak to her, as law states
And if I do, outrageous trouble it creates

With that thought I still follow her
Around the city, and I tire never
Even when events have come forth
I shall look east, south, west, and north

But one day I heard a terrible news
A murderer was angry and lit his fuse
He wanted the king to die in the field
Or the king's daughter be dreadfully killed

The king refused as all he cares is greed
For he is rooted from the evil seed
All he wants are money and gold
Even risk his daughter to be sold

The next day I left my work in field
And got my knife, but with no shield
I searched for him around the city
And stop him from making his treaty

At last, I found him in a small alley
He was holding nothing, but he's crazy
He walks toward the the far away castle
Thinking he could go in with no hassle

Honestly he looked like a common
A citizen, just a simple person
But even with that disguise I saw
His face, and his hiding flaw

I rushed to him with my knife in hand
And stabbed him from where he stands
He quickly and swiftly fell to the ground
And dropping dead making a loud sound

After that the guards came
So I stood up and said my name
But they held their weapons hidden from sight
And hit me with everything without my right

They thought I was the murderer whom I just killed
And the one dead was the peasant in the field
Without thinking if the face was right
They killed me without giving a fair fight

I was hurt so I loudly shouted
Then I heard horse steps near the shed
I thanked that person who was about to save
But I wanted to close my eyes, it was my crave

I can't help it but to close my eyes
But I still saw to my surprise
It was my dear princess rushing towards me
But I can't open my eyes, so I closed it slowly
