This is describing a year after a break-up and the month of March's connotation with it. It happened in March

March was the chaos.

April was the rain.

May was the day that June never came.

July waits for change.

August always rushed.

September thought the pain was a little bit too much.

October loves the weather.

November needs a sweater.

December can't decide if kisses make it better.

January brings a new year.

February sings in my ear.

March still holds the same old fear.

I really connect to do this. For me, March was the beginning of a relationship that ended recently (it's also close to by birthday, gag). But I love the simplicity in this, the subtle pain it's very good.
