The Sword

The Sword

A Story by Lord Lykaios
"

A sword makers dilemma of if his only skill in life brings hope or damnation to the world.

"

Forged in fire filled with hate you are my finest creations,

Tempered with the cooling waters I pray the peace you may bring,

But how you shall be wielded most assuredly determine which fate shall come true.

So who shall I give you to?

In the hands of a mad person you may bring damnations as like this world shall never heal,

But in the hands of the righteous soul you can be the key to salvations that shall free us all,

Then again if given to the other?

Though maybe it is better the mad hold you for they shall only threaten a few to gain control of many,

But the righteous one will must indefinitely slay many to only gain control of a few.

Many say you my sword will only bring sadness

Used improperly by a nave the sword is dangerous for even the slightest cut could bring disaster. For the simple graze of steel on flesh left untreated could lead to infection.

While used by a master the sword can bring hope of rejuvenation with the largest cut like those to remove a limb from the body.

But alas I am just the one who made you with my heart and soul.

For those who wish to forge their own destiny with you in their hands
