A family home broken and divided

A family home broken and divided,

Emotions torn, souls feeling stranded,

Parents resentment, shame and anger,

You carry it around like an amour, 

Their problems became your own, you wish this was not assigned to you,

You don't want to be known as another product of a broken home.

You push away and push yourself towards freedom and liberation,

A life of your own without blame or frustration.

Still at times their toxic behaviour will try to find a way back into your character,

You may react with unintentional anger, 

You may react simply out of fear,

Your false ego has been threatened,

 And sometimes things just don't seem clear.

A family home broken and divided, 

But from all of this don't you know, 

They created a fighter. 

A fighter for love, freedom and expression.

All of this time unknown to you, 

You were being taught a lesson.

Your old beliefs and conditioned thoughts are being erased.

You are shedding skin, 

You will begin a journey of self exploration and a search for your soul.

 but thanks to them,

 you shall become enlightened.
