Not your victims

Not your victims

A Poem by Lauren94

Don't need your medication
I'm not subscribed to your monthly subscriptions
Our minds are not your prisons
These human beings are not your victims.

Don't tell us how to be
don't tell us how to look
We know ourselves
We don't follow rules from your book
You kept the truth hidden,
You tried to impose fear
But, we know the futures strange;
We know the end is near.

One day we all shall rise
when our conscience becomes clear
You may try to keep us down;
But we will always be here.

This is raw and very well rhymed, the bars are neat and the meaning is heavy... I enjoyed this quite a bit... Stay apathetic to the rule book... Excellently penned...

Powerful words and thoughts. I liked the energy and the drive in the words. I agree. Can't control all things and all people. Limit on all things. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

You are right. Sometimes we must walk away and find a better place to be. You are welcome.
