Down Towards a New Road

We have shared the call of divine love.

Always on the path of new searching.

Always a new wayy to seek humility

to exalt the true burning spirit.

But now the time has come

for detours.

Death may come to the door of your soul

and my heart weeps.

Not to be selfish.

Butt there is still time

or isn't there

to take a stroll in autumn

as the red leaves shower

warm blessings.

Before the trees

turn to skeletons

and their hearts lie open to a stormy sky,

Can we walk down,

go down that

cautious, scarey road as friends

before we must

part forever and

for a time

say

I love you.
