The Battle

The Battle

A Poem by LostLovely
"

It's very simple, you see. I'm crazy. I am living in her body. What they don't know won't hurt them, and they don't know that this is me and she is gone. Katana is my name now.

"
She tugs, she pulls, ever at the back of my mind.
I fight.
With time I waited,
patiently I calculated.
Her weakest moment,
her biggest down fall.
I held her through it all.
This frail thing she called herself.
She begged.
Ha.
She begged for me to take her.
I came in the form of a familiar beast.
Kitsune, I slid inside her mind.
They'll never know.
Hope fled when she lost you.
Little does everyone know,
she fled too.
I can't explain what I do not know,
But she is gone and I am here for the show.
Her body is mine
yet she still fights on the inside.
She wanted this.
I helped her.
There will be no more hurt.
There is a battle behind my eyes.
