When the Peasants Stand Their Ground

When the Peasants Stand Their Ground

A Poem by Louis McKraker

When the peasants stand their ground,
  The king is forced to abandon the crown--

When the peasants storm the gate,
  Let there be made no mistake;

Before the sun sets on the estate,
  The peasants will have marked his fate.
