Nobody listens

Nobody listens

A Poem by Shannon

Nobody listens

I am yelling
But nobody can hear
Is it just me
Or do they not care?
They tell me to listen
When I can’t be herd
I let out a laugh
And a single tear
That nobody will hear
As they laugh with cheer
I never understand
Why they laugh
While I am here
I’m not even wanted
If I could just disappear
Nobody will care
Nobody will notice
I am basically invisible
Because everything I say
Doesn’t mean a thing
So my words just get whisked away

It's a very lovely piece of writing. I feel that like sometimes. I even wrote a poem similar, but I think I lost it. I really enjoyed reading this poem and remembering. You did a good job.
