Nothing, But Write

Nothing, But Write

A Poem by DoNt LoSe YoUrSeLf

That night,

You left me cold and broken.

You left with my words unspoken.

So, this I wrote.

I couldn’t eat.

Couldn’t sleep.

Nothing to do, but write.

Every time I drown

I am taken to the stars.

My mind left a blur.

You’re not there.

Never will be again.

Nothing to do, but write.

Where do I go?

What do I do?

Nothing to do now,

But write, write.

Great statement :)

First set of lines had a great start which was good because you did include that "can't eat or sleep" cliche. Drowning to be taken to stars sounds really trippy and I like it: when I feel shattered I often find my imagination *********** with my mind. In a nightmare but can't wake up. You captured the mood well in this.

I really like this poem. I think everyone's had a moment that's left them feeling this way. As a writer, I completely understand the feeling of being left with only your ability to write. You did a beautiful job capturing that.
