Alphabet Poem

A Poem by DoNt LoSe YoUrSeLf

All I wanted,

But never would get.

Cans are open.

Dad is sleeping.

Everything’s wrong.

Fallen stools.

Grazing cattle.

Hungry kids.

Ill neighbors.

Just trying to make it through.

Killing myself slowly.

Less Pain.

Morning after.

No one.

Open curtains.

Purging sisters.

Questioning favors.

Reasons being.

Separated.

True nature.

Unidentified.

Veering off road.

Worlds away.

X-rays show.

You’re dying, dear.

Zoom out.

Beauteous and meaningful efforts.

I love that despite the simplicity of the words and the short, blunt lines, you were still able to weave such a lovely, intricate story. I can picture everything in my mind, this little world and neighbourhood and the feelings of the people who live there. Well done. :)

it is very nice..as a teacher of english, i would have used it to teach my kids about alphabits if it didnt have some hard issues for kids like..mourning, death...

This. is. awesome. I wish I were poetic enough to be so vague and yet tell a story with such detail as this. You've got a talent, keep on writing such lovely work!
