Her Simple Beauty

Many of my poems are simply just me pouring out my emotions in the spur of the moment. I try to say things with my words that I normally wouldn't be able to say otherwise.

your lips are like the evening

as rosy as the sky

each hue is not reflected 

by colors one can buy

your eyes are like the ocean

all crystalline and blue

I drown when I look into them

sparkling like the dew

your hair is like the waterfalls

forever flowing free

not bound by nature or its laws

it has its own esprit

your face is like a candle

always shining true

and in a world of darkness

I can always turn to you
