The Reason for the Writing

When I wrote this poem I was writing a lot of pieces about love and relationships. I'm not sure why but I always write poems like that as if I'm saying it to the person it's about. The same goes here.

what motivates me to put pen to paper

to craft eloquence from the depths of my mind

to take these concepts from within me

and mold them into a rhyme

with each verse, each stanza

every line and each word

making something beautiful

matching them with notes and chords

the pen is the instrument

the words create the song

no matter what I do

these lines will never be wrong

the truth is hidden within

and forever is it sealed

but the wise man knows

to him the reason is revealed

the wise man sees why

he knows that it is true

yes, the wise man knows

that I write these poems for you
