Just a general explanation of what runs through my mind a lot..

Please don’t hurt me.

It’s all I ask of you.

If you did,

I wouldn't know what to do.

 

Please spare me the pain.

I don’t want an aching heart.

If you damage me,

I’ll have to go back to the start.

 

Please don’t make me sad and angry,

When I have only just got back into high spirits.

I have had to put my heart back together in the past,

And it’s hard to piece together the tiny bits.

 

Please don’t become a monster,

And tear my world to shreds.

I don’t want you to be the mistake

That everyone makes and then dreads.

 

Please don’t make me believe,

What we have is real,

And say you love me,

If it isn’t actually what you feel.

I like this very much. its so real for so many people. we get crushed and then go into something new with reservations and fears about the past happening again. great job
