i shall return

i shall return

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

the night wears a negligee of silk
draped over her curves
her radiant stars twinkling
in all the right places
certainly you are drawn to her
she reaches out to you
through crevices of desire
spreading her luxuriant sensuality
into your most secret dreams
she cradles a special message
bathe in her glistening essence
feed on her words
for i am the one who sent her
                      je renverrai mon amour

This poem is packed with your usual flowing coaxing allure (with word choices I admire) . . . and then the last 4 lines send me on a different tangent . . . especially your last line, it piques such a plethora of ideas tumbling forth! Hope you're enjoying the autumn vibes! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thanks, Raven. Lydi**
What an exquisite opening line, you had me hooked Lydie! Love this, it so glistens on the page....

'je renverrai mon amour' translated as 'I would refer my love', not sure that's what you meant exactly but the intention came through with or without....

This sensual write makes me want to listen some Edith Piaf, one of my favorite French singers of all time. Your beautiful words bring out the French in all of us. Another keeper for me Lydi.

Thank you very much for your comments. Lydi**
This one speaks to me as if you sended a hollywood star to someone, but one with Class, I imagine some older woman, who hit the charts in that time, like Brigitte Bordeaux, she came instantly up in my mind, it has a cool feeling of nostalgy here mixed with the romance you do always so well... and a bit of glammour... your roots I felt here... so loved it...
