"write"

"write"

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

even though i have not heard it

for what seems like forever

i listen for it intently

confident it exists

            loving the possibility

                        of hearing it

the velvet soft whisper of inspiration

as it plants seeds

offers visions

arouses my senses

and stirs my very soul

yes, it will take root

then blossom

till all is “write” with my world!

An array of hope.. And it is true, you never know when the inspiration will let the ink flow. And when it does we must let it write in its flow giving it priority instead of ignoring the rattling pen..
I can really relate to this piece. Once you start you cant stop.. It's just starting..
Thanks for sharing and have word filled 2014. Enjoy!!

You know it, Jack. So nice to see a review from you. Happy and Healthy holidays to you. Lydi**
A good way to win the battle against the BLOCK that happens to us all. I found that I can continue to write when this happens to me by writing something silly of stupid sounding. It may sound weird but it allows me to laugh at myself and press on. Merry Christmas to you!

You have summed it up Lydia wonderfully the best way we should approach writing and the inspiration we should wait for and then the stirrings of the soul. The natural way is the best way when we give freely from what we receive freely ...A splendid poem ...:)..........

My pleasure...Any time...:)..................
Before, when I experience writer's block, I don't stop until I make any piece, even a short one, to prove only to myself that I can win such "battle". But I realized it is too stressful, and being here should be a sort of relaxation...so I started learning to accept that it is a normal thing for the writers. Now, I only stop and read other works to find some inspiration.

Nice presentation here.
Happy Holidays, Lydi!
