I Miss You

I Miss You

Pistil and stamen
create abundant blossoms
their blatant beauty
nearly clamorous

Sunlight shrinks back
numinous stars spin out of control
in deference to the semiotics
truly impossible to grasp

Something in life seems undone
in these shadows created
and it’s all because
I miss you

Interesting perspective on loss Lydi. You craft the art around the meaning this person held for you in their living days. You frame your mood in your sense of losing a person who had a special place in the galaxy or garden of your heart. I like how you tie yourself to this person still in the poetic expression.
There is a profound sense of a life lived with meaning even in the sense of sorrow.
I will internalize this lesson I think.

your welcome
In my career, we are required to have extensive training on how to help families deal with loss, how to help through the grieving process and general knowledge on the steps and working through each one.. I can tell you from experience--all of that goes OUT the window when dealing with personal loss of our own.. it does feel like things are "coming apart at the seams", unraveling, "undone" "spinning out of control"... there are days when it feels as if reality is something that you will ever fully "grasp" again.. waves of sanity, of emotion, of coherent thought wash over... the way you italicized these lines, made them more affecting and the very last line made me tear up... this was very moving and powerful and beautifully written. :)
