Toujours!

Toujours!

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

artwork by Yuri Yarosh

Words jingle enticingly between us
closer now…closer
moments ache with the anticipation
of camouflaged desire
your stubble softens
‘neath the humidity of my breath

Luxuriating near the bend of your lip
delighting in your sleight of hand
sibilant syllables samba softly from my lips
ruffling through my reality

Oui, mon amour, you continue to be the star
of my favorite fantasy…toujours!

"Toujours" has such a warm and sensuous feel to it--to be enveloped in the cosy blankets of forever is surely a beautiful fantasy..... Of course I love the sibliance line. Frankly, who wouldn't???
Your words samba around the page ever so gracefully, ma'am!!! :))

"... sibilant syllables samba softly from my lips ....". Simply superb and sultry sibilance ! Love the feel and flow of this piece. "Toujours" is one of those rare French words I have used in poetry because it just has such a sexy feel to it. Anyhow, once again you have reminded me of how Friday is supposed to be, reading the wonderful romantic and sensuous poetry of my favorite poet. Kudos. ~Jim

PS he is right about French words but I find the whole language and culture sensual.

Mais oui! :)
That first stanza is HOT Lydi. Full of steamy desire and passion but also full of dedication and love. Lovely sensual piece and beautiful picture as always!
