A Poem by Lydia Shutter

artwork "the stars" by anna razumovskay

the air seems to vibrate
there is a mere insinuation of music
an oldie but goodie
while a sort of phantasmagoria
plays before my eyes
like dust dancing through the sunlight
but it is night
the sound of my own breathing
hypnotizes me
till i tumble into a dream
i must reluctantly admit
the truth...
it's all about you
still

The most romantic mood is tingling my extremities now that my eyes have rippled over such beauties as: "insinuation of music" . . . "phantasmagoria" . . . "dust dancing thru the sunlight" . . . and then the last 2 lines which are a monument of love & appreciation. I'm happy you're with someone that makes you feel so fulfilled, so I know you'll have a warm sparkling Christmas! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

We never get over some love! As distant as it may seem during the day, it eventually returns to haunt us in the solitude of our dreams at night and in those surreal realms, still thrive those old feelings. Not that we really want to lose them when it all feels so beautiful and magical....
I find your words awesome here, dear Lydi...
The artwork so beautiful too....
