my hope

my hope

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

Impressionist oil painting lady with long blonde hair 50th birthday in a field of flowers on Craiyon

my hope is wrapped in sunshine
then tied up with a shadow
my rhythm is sweeter
when dressed in a cape of hope
my footsteps are the metronome
syncopated perfectly to my inner rhythm

my patience is like a flower
blooming in the bright sunshine
today it all came together
in one perfect package

Wonderful dance of words dear Lydia.

I adored the above lines. I do need a warm day in Michigan. Old winter is holding on. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry.

Hope is indeed like dancing in the sunshine. That really says as it is.

Been awhile since I have had one of those days when it "all came together" and I think you described that happening in a great way. ~Jim

Jim, I can always count on you to leave me a positive review. Thanks so much. Lydi**
Well Lydi... Thank you. Youve just summed up hope. And as i am going through a bit of a dry spell, writing wise, i can happily lay claim to the fact you have summed that up so wonderfully with that sun coated honey coated goodness, so i can stop pushing that and move on to another thought... whivh im sure will be slong any time (drat, missed it!)
It would have helped if my pen didnt give up near the end, leaving me trying to write an inspirational piece about hop.
Im not sayong it will be, but dont be surprised if my next write is called Hoppity Boppity and friends!! 😊
