Pastel Lanterns of Peace

Pastel Lanterns of Peace

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

Amethyst glass lanterns rest in a pond of friendship as neon pink flamingos rest on one leg to contemplate world peace...

"

Pastel Lanterns of Peace

A translucent light from a new star

shines through stained glass portals

of heavens doors...

Lanterns of love and devotion

Shells of soft pink

Mother of Pearl

lay in waiting for a touch of diplomacy...

The Persians know the best colors

to blend when choosing a path for peace

As we sip our cup of Hibiscus Tea

we choose Windsor green

as artist and designer to touch earth

and

Cerulean blue to reach for the sky...

Venetian glass with blues and golds

are more eccentric than the next...

We become poets to render our songs

we work together to create a

Masterpiece of love and understanding...

It feels like poetry filling the air as one is sat on a plush Persian carpet and finds poetry being created in the minutiae of day to day living. As lanterns they light our souls and lanterns are functional but also a fruit of craftsmanship as well. As for tea, that brings out the best in me. Thanks Pat. A pleasant visit to the past but the poem brings it closer to today.

You have such an eye for beauty. To see the world with your eyes must be so beautiful. I cannot get enough of the peaceful and colourful world in this poem. Those lanterns, the flamingos resting on a leg, the venetian glass took my breath away. Cheers, dear Pat. Have a wonderful season of love, peace and joy.

Patricia Wedel,
Looking for the good. Finding beautiful colors. Looking into souls. Finding good in others.
This poem was very inspiring of the positive within a world that cries
for beauty given and caring shown.
PS. I actually have written a little poem from the lovely inspiration of your poem.
Blessings,
Kathy

A mesmerizing trip through the stained glass portal in this masterpiece you've penned. It's not just the Persians who know the best colors. Thank you Pat for yet another amazing, and tranquil read.
