WHAT IS FRIENDSHIP?

WHAT IS FRIENDSHIP?

A Poem by LynnPenCakes
"

Friendship, spelled out...

"

WHAT IS FRIENDSHIP?

To love, to care, to speak, to share,
Friendship given is feelings bared.

To know, to sing and rejoice will bring,
that special smile woven with heartstrings.

A word spoken from the heart,
It's value while great, can not be bought.

True and pure, its colors are seen,
To sparkle and shine amidst our dreams.

Friendship speaks in notes of blue
The words of love, faith and truth.

Its marks are seen through many a life,
To dispel untruths and remove strife.

It carries the wounded and provides for the needy,
Friendship of a truth is a gift from God Almighty.

REFLECTION:
Proverbs 18:24
A man that hath friends must show himself friendly:
And there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.

I am here to practice and improve upon the skill of writing. I like to think that what ends up as words within a story or poem originated deep within my heart as a message that brings comfort, joy or.. more..
