Another Year

Another Year

A Poem by Mylifeinheartbeats

Talking about the Countdown to the New Year

In these moments, we are thinking.
It's less than 24 hours until the new year.
So we are remembering.
It's just another year.
It's just another bloody year.
And we are reliving things and loving all over again. And it hurts, but it's okay.
And we think of all we lost, and we think of all we've found.
And we hurt, but we're healing.
It's just another year.
Just another bloody year.
And we're so terribly glad that we had someone.
And we're so terribly sorry that we hurt someone.
And we're so terribly sad that we lost someone.
But it's just another year.
Just another bloody year.

Seems we always ask strangers to be beside us -
maybe to just prove to ourselves we were here...
so many places, so many ...people - each of us ...strangers
...every year.

Take care Telea...

I'm Telea. I am a great many things, but I like to focus on writing, singing, and making stupid Youtube videos. I am an aspiring artist, whatever that means, and I am currently in the process of finis.. more..
